john greenwood Fantastic music impossible to confine to a specific genre. It's Jazz, but an eclectic mix of wild wonderful things other too. Like most of my favorite albums, my favorite track keeps changing. It is all so good. I would love to have a great copy of this on vinyl....Thank you Impossible Ark Records!, Just got it on vinyl to my great delight and surprise. It sounds AMAZING!!!! Smile, I am, ear to ear, good damn music! Favorite track: Marathon man.
Nekorz

Nekorz Fresh, juicy Jazz to get your groove up on to.
Adam an Eve is the only track to feature vocals and by far is the center of the album, which in itself is pretty great anyway, with fresh trumpet grooves and bouncing rhythm to get that instinctual movement going.
Adam and Eve is also great to start a lovely session of Adam and Eve to. Favorite track: Adam and Eve (feat Alice Russel).

about

The handiwork of Benedic Lamdin (aka Nostalgia 77), Skeletons is, in fact, an imaginary jazz band . The artist himself fesses up to this: "These musicians never stood in the studio together, they just passed through my house or left some scraps of sound behind after sessions we were working on." The project started life as material recorded for a library music company, playing into the hands of "the current vogue for a certain style of African jazz", as Lamdin puts it, in a refreshing bout of honesty. Apparently Lamdin got so absorbed in this process of musical forgery a whole LP emerged, and if the producer wasn't so darned honest, you might never know that this wasn't the work of a genuine, and wholly exciting spiritual jazz troupe. The compositions are approachably tuneful, and even if you're not the greatest jazz devotee in the word, the solid funk, robust production, and perhaps above all else, exceptional drum and percussion presence keeps this record exciting.
